Welcome to

The Grove Residential Home

The Grove is a registered charity run on a Not For Profit basis by a Voluntary Management Committee of local people whom have been involved in the care industry for many years. The Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and has periodic inspections, these can be found at www.cqc.org.uk . The aim of the Home has always been to provide a safe, warm and comfortable environment for people who can no longer care for themselves.

"The Manager and Deputy Manager along with an excellent staff team consisting of Carers, Catering and Housekeeping all ensure that the standards of the Home are always maintained."
M Wilkin Chairman.

The Grove is a large mid Victorian building which originally belonged to the Greswold family. They donated the house to the Charity Commission for use by the community. It was registered as a Care Home in 1948. Since 1995, the house has been much upgraded and refurbished and is now a beautiful modern Residential Home which retains some of the original Victorian features. The house has 30 bedrooms which are decorated and furnished according to individual tastes.

The House has two large lounges which overlook the recently landscaped garden, one lounge has a lovely bay window and the other lounge has recently been extended to include a large, light and airy Garden Room. There is a pleasant spacious dining room where home cooked food is served every day, prepared in our own award winning kitchen.
